About the Company
Northern Star Bridal Jewelry is a home based business located in beautiful British Coloumbia, Canada. Husband and wife team Lisa and Mike Godfrey run the business together with occasional help from Lisa's sister Laura and mother Jesse. All the jewelry is designed and handmade by Lisa.
About the Artist
Lisa's creativity has been the driving force in her life for as long as she can remember. Since she was a small child her desire to "make things" was so strong that she often took her allowance to the local craft store to buy pom poms and pipecleaners to make critters and creatures. Although Lisa has long outgrown the pom poms and pipecleaners, her desire to create is as strong as ever. Lisa has been educated in in Fine Art, Craft and Design and has tried nearly every art and craft medium imaginable! Having a difficult time committing to "just one" Lisa mastered skills in fashion design, sewing, quilting, painting, mosaics, pottery, soap making, collage, make up artistry and more. It wasn't until she made her first necklace that she fell in love. Her diverse background allows her to create from both an artistic and fashion conscious perspective. Lisa loves to design jewelry for weddings and special occasions and is thrilled to have a small part in the special moments of peoples lives.
Lisa lives in Burnaby, British Columbia with her soul mate, husband and business partner Mike. While she handles the creative side and what she considers the "fun" part, her devoted husband handles the "business" side. Truly a perfect match. The couple is expecting their first child in February.
